Not only does making Origami creations result in beautiful artwork, it can also help kids develop a sense of spatial relationships and design principles, problem-solve, improve hand-eye coordination and cultivate patience and focus!
Ms. Rosenthal will host a school-day origami introduction (over recess and lunch) for FOUR lucky 2nd Graders!
They will learn the basics of folding techniques, make intricate paper figures to take home (and proudly show you), and get a delicious treat from Ms. Rosenthal before heading back to class!

Does your kid live and breathe LEGOS®? This afterschool activity with the amazingly enthusiastic and creative Lynnea West (Cornelia's Library Media Specialist on Tuesdays) is for them!
Lynnea's designed this LEGO® event around a playful, narrative-based problem-solving adventure where they will get to design and build their own Arctic Sled!
During this after-school lesson, students brainstorm and develop creative solutions through trial and error while collaborating with their peers. We will even have a snack to help spark our brain into learning and fun!
