Hornet Cares Fund and Immigration Resources
The Hornet Cares Fund can accept tax‑deductible financial contributions that support a wide range of needs for Edina Public Schools' families and staff experiencing temporary hardship — helping ensure stability, dignity, and continued access to school and community resources. Give here.
As of February 22, the fund has raised $55,000 and distributed $27,000 in gift cards to families who have reached out to their schools seeking assistance. Additional gift cards are being purchased and processed. While the top funding priorities remain food and basic necessities (toiletries, prescriptions, etc), distribution is in a format that allows families to have flexibility for their expanded needs.
If you need help, please reach out to a school social worker, cultural liaison, school administrator, or any school teacher. They are ready to support you and provide you with information. Visit Immigration Resources on the EPS website for more information.
Participate in the VEAP Food & Fund Drive
March 9 through 13
Cornelia is partnering with VEAP, the Twin Cities largest food pantry, to raise food and funds for local families in need. Please join us March 9-13 as we work to fully stock VEAP’s pantry and support them with financial gifts!

YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS OUR SCHOOL
A $25 (suggested) contribution per family goes a long way towards providing the Cornelia PTO with funds we use throughout the year for things like teacher grants, teacher appreciation, and PTO activities and events. However, no financial contribution is required to join the PTO or participate in PTO-sponsored activities. We want all Cornelia families to participate in our school in whatever way they are able.
